Accounts Assistant Manager

About the Company

A leading transport company is seeking a dynamic, rapid-paced and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant Manager to join its finance team in Ormeau.

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will play an important role in managing the day-to-day accounting functions across multiple entities. This is a high-pressure, fast-paced environment where accuracy, efficiency and the ability to work to tight deadlines are essential. About the Role

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Entering and verifying supplier and subcontractor invoices
Processing debtor invoices
Reconciling creditor and debtor ledgers and statements
Reconciling business bank accounts and credit cards
Investigating and resolving discrepancies
Responding to supplier, customer and internal finance queries
Assisting with general accounting and finance administration
Managing multiple entities, priorities and deadlines




Supporting the Finance Manager with day-to-day accounting requirements

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (required)
1–2 years of relevant accounting experience
Advanced knowledge and practical experience using Xero
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Excellent organisational and administrative skills
The ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
A proactive, reliable and solutions-focused approach
Experience working across multiple entities will be highly regarded
CA or CPA studies in progresswill be advantageous
The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
