We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join a well-established, growing consultancy within the Data Centre and Mission Critical sector in Melbourne, VIC. This is a permanent chance to be part of a high-performing team delivering complex, large-scale projects across Australia and internationally.
This role offers a robust pathway into the data centre space for experienced electrical design engineers, with structured support and mentorship provided for those transitioning from adjacent sectors.
Responsibilities
Support the design and delivery of electrical systems across data centre and critical infrastructure projects
Produce detailed electrical engineering designs including schematics, layouts and calculations
Assist with power system studies including fault level, protection and discrimination analysis
Develop technical specifications, reports and supporting documentation
Carry out site inspections and surveys to support design development
Coordinate designs with internal disciplines and external stakeholders
Work closely with senior engineers,
BIM technicians, and project teams across delivery
Participate in client meetings and provide technical input where required
Collaborate with both local and international teams on multidisciplinary projects
Assist in identifying and resolving technical challenges throughout the design lifecycle
Required Experience
Robust electrical design background within building services, mission critical or complex infrastructure projects
Experience delivering projects across concept through to detailed design
Capability across electrical design documentation, calculations and reporting
Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
Exposure to client-facing environments and stakeholder engagement
Ability to manage design packages and support project delivery across multiple projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
