The Role

To drive and bear on funerals with outstanding respect and to follow explicit instructions from the garage foreman and the funeral conductor.

Responsibilities

Driving and bearing on funerals
n
Removal of deceased from houses, nursing homes and mortuaries
n
Delivering and collecting coffins to and from airports
n
Delivering and collecting various documents
n
Available for out of hours duty rota
n
A uniform is provided and full training will be given.
n

The Candidate

The ideal candidate must be well presented
n




The candidate needs to be an excellent driver with a clean licence
n
Able to read maps easily and efficiently
n
Taking care of deceased
n
Ability to follow instructions given over the phone or in person
n
Ability to work effectively with others and work well within a team
n
Candidate must be well-spoken and must be a compassionate individual.
n
Candidate must be physically fit as heavy lifting is involved daily (for which full manual handling training will be given).
