About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Preparation Teacher to help students successfully transition into secondary education. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons that build students' academic skills, confidence, study habits, and readiness for the challenges of high school.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in literacy, numeracy, and study skills.
n
Support students in developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
n
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
n
Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
n
Prepare learning materials and assessments aligned with curriculum requirements.
n
Foster students' confidence and independence as they prepare for secondary school.
n
Work collaboratively with colleagues and families to support student success.

Essential Requirements
n

Relevant teaching qualification.
n
Current teacher registration or eligibility to obtain registration.
n
Experience teaching upper primary or junior secondary students.
n
Solid communication and classroom management skills.
n
Commitment to student wellbeing and academic achievement.

Desirable

Experience in transition-to-high-school programs.
n
Knowledge of contemporary teaching practices and educational technology.
