We are a contemporary, high-end specialty garment care business. We specialise in precision fabric care and utilise quality, fully automated European finishing machinery for jackets and dresses etc.

Casual Garment Machine Operator.

n

We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Garment Machine Operator to run our high-speed automated finishing line.

n

This is a casual role designed to help us smash through our busy midday rush. Shifts are rostered Monday to Friday, generally between 1:00 PM and 4:30 PM (to 20 hours a week depending on store needs, we are busy).

n

What you'll be doing:
n This role is strictly focused on high-quality focused production. You won't have to worry about front-counter customer service, dealing with retail clients, or tagging and bagging. A dedicated shop assistant will feed prepped garments directly to your station, so you can focus 100% on keeping the machinery running smoothly.

n

Our top of the line pneumatic and tensioning equipment handles the automated stretching and pressing,



eliminating the heavy physical fatigue associated with traditional manual hand-ironing.

Key Equipment & Duties:

n

Operate our automated Barbanti shirt line (cuff & collar press and shirt former).
n
Operate the Barbanti jacket former and Sankosha pants machine.
n
Perform minimal high-end touch-ups on delicate or structured garments.
n
Maintain a steady, systematic production pace throughout the 3.5-hour shift.
n

The Package:

We offer a highly competitive total package of $37.00 per hour (All-Inclusive).
n
$33.04 per hour paid directly to your bank account (this already includes your casual loading!).
n
$3.96 per hour paid straight into your super fund every single payday.
n

Requirements:

n

n
Prior experience operating commercial laundry finishing machinery, tensioning formers, or industrial dry cleaning equipment is highly regarded. We don't have any dry cleaning equipment so there are no hazardous chemicals.
n
Solid practical eye for fabric care, garment structure, and quality control.
n
High level of focus and reliability.
n
There is the train station right outside the shop.
