Key Responsibilities

The Casual Relief Teacher will provide effective temporary classroom instruction in the absence of the regular teacher.



Key responsibilities include:
Delivering prepared lesson plans and learning activities effectively.
Maintaining high standards of student learning, engagement and behaviour.
Providing appropriate duty of care and ensuring student safety at all times.
Creating a positive, productive and inclusive classroom workplace.
Adapting to different classroom settings, student needs and school environments.
Working collaboratively with school staff and contributing positively to the wider school team.
Supporting the mission, vision and values of each school.
Undertaking yard duty, supervision and other reasonable duties as required.
Following school policies, procedures and expectations while maintaining professional standards.
Supporting continuity of learning and contributing to the school’s educational goals on an as-needed basis.

Skill & Experience

Must hold a recognised teaching degree and current VIT registration. Solid classroom management and communication skills required. Graduate teachers are encouraged to apply.
