Experienced Company Accountant - Full time

IA Accounting is seeking an experienced and reliable Company Accountant to join our team in a full time position.

This role is five days per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. We are looking for an experienced accountant who can confidently manage a variety of accounting responsibilities while maintaining accurate records and meeting all relevant deadlines.

Key responsibilities:
Preparing financial statements, management reports and budgets
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
Processing payroll and employee entitlements
Completing bank and credit card reconciliations
Preparing and lodging BAS, IAS and other compliance documents
Assisting with individual, company, trust and partnership tax returns
Maintaining accurate general ledgers and financial records
Monitoring cash flow, budgeting, expenses and business performance
Preparing financial reports and providing information to management
Ensuring compliance with taxation, accounting and regulatory requirements
Liaising professionally with clients, suppliers, the ATO and other external parties




Managing client records and following up on outstanding information
Using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB and Microsoft Excel
Supporting the wider team with additional accounting and administrative duties when required

The successful applicant will have:
Previous experience working as an accountant
A relevant qualification in accounting, finance or a related field
Robust knowledge of Australian accounting and taxation requirements
Experience preparing BAS, financial statements and tax returns
Confidence using Xero, Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A professional, reliable and client-focused attitude
