About the role

Reporting to the State Merchant Manager, Trade & Retail, the Account Manager – Merchants will run their own territory as part of a high‐performing sales team in Pinkenba. Key duties include managing relationships with key accounts and smaller independent customers while embodying GWA's 'customer first' ethos.

Responsibilities

n

Identify prospects for developing and implementing sales strategies and initiatives.
n
Develop and maintain external relationships with current and potential customers, and internal relationships with key stakeholders across the GWA business.
n
Achieve budgeted sales and margin targets and manage defined pricing guidelines.
n
Providing technical information both internally and externally.
n
Demonstrate current products and emphasize saleable features and benefits.
n
Analyze sales statistics to formulate strategies and assist in sales growth.
n
Carry out merchant sales plans to achieve various targets.
n




Ensure merchants have current displays and are adequately stocked with current point‐of‐sale information, price information, and collateral.
n
Maintain day‐to‐day, face‐to‐face contact with the customer base through daily, weekly call cycles and monthly reporting.
n
Represent GWA at relevant merchant and trade functions.
n

Qualifications

n

n
At least 2 years of experience in a similar Account Manager role with robust, relevant industry experience and product knowledge.
n
Strong relationship‐building skills and a customer‐centric mindset.
n
Background as an experienced brand champion.
n
Motivated by challenge and eager to work as part of an engaged and energetic team.
n
Analytical mindset with strong MS Excel skills and transparent, logical report‐writing abilities.
n
