About The Role

Based in the Rivervale office, this full time Accounts Officer position is responsible for managing the daily financial operations of HMC Group's tourism and accommodation businesses, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card reconciliations and other financial administrative duties, working closely with the Finance Department across several entities.

Key Responsibilities
Match purchase orders to supplier invoices, distribute for approval, enter purchases in Xero and process payment upon approval
Review and verification of supplier statements; address all Accounts Payable queries




Monitor and follow up on customer accounts including receivables outside trading terms and account discrepancies
Issue monthly account statements and assist with Accounts Receivable queries
Daily reconciliation of bank and credit card transactions
Generate month end reports for the General Manager as required
Assist with year-end processes including collation and reconciliation of financial data for external and internal audit purposes

Essential Requirements
A minimum of 5 years Bookkeeping or Accounts Payable experience
Robust computer literacy skills including Xero, Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to complete multiple tasks concurrently, within prescribed timeframes and with a high level of accuracy
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Well-developed problem-solving skills with a high level of initiative
