The Firm

Our client is a quick-growing and forward-thinking firm based in Brisbane CBD. Join a values-driven, high-performing team as a Business Services Manager Accounting, where you’ll lead a portfolio of SME and family group clients, delivering strategic advice, technical oversight, and people leadership. Our client are a unique skilled services firm with a dual focus:
One arm is wealth-driven, with an accounting service built around client needs.
The other is accounting-driven, with a strong wealth advisory component.

You’ll play a key role in driving quality outcomes across compliance and advisory services, while mentoring a capable team and contributing to the firm’s continued growth.

The Role

You will be responsible for a range of tasks including:
Take ownership of a diverse portfolio, including successful SMEs and complex family group structures
Review financial statements, income tax returns, BAS, and other compliance deliverables across multiple entities (companies, trusts, SMSFs)
Provide commercial and strategic advice on structuring, tax planning, and cash flow management
Lead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals,



fostering growth and accountability
Oversee workflow management, team deadlines, and client communication to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes
Collaborate with in-house financial advisers and specialists to deliver integrated, client-focused solutions

The Ideal Candidate

To succeed in this role, you will have:
CA or CPA qualified, with 6+ years of experience in public practice
Robust technical expertise in Australian tax and compliance across varied entity types
Demonstrated leadership experience, including review responsibilities and team management
Commercially minded with the ability to build strong, consultative client relationships
Confident working with cloud-based platforms such as Xero Practice Manager, FYI Docs, Class, or similar
Proactive, accountable, and committed to excellence
