Solicitor – Banking & Finance – 1‐3 yrs PAE

We are looking for a junior solicitor to join our Brisbane Banking & Finance practice following an internal promotion. The role will involve collaborating with a high‐performing team on a broad range of banking and finance transactional and regulatory matters.

n

Responsibilities

n

n
Work on banking and finance transactional and regulatory matters for banks, customer‐owned banks, global banks and private credit funds across multiple sectors.
n
Act on the borrower side of lending deals, advising offshore and local REITs, developers and corporate borrowers.
n
Handle cross‐border transactions in partnership with our global network.
n
Provide financial services regulatory advice, focusing on NCCP Act, Unfair Contract Terms, industry codes of practice and AML/CTF issues.
n

Qualifications

n

n
At least 12 months of relevant Australian post‐admission legal experience in front‐end banking matters and no more than 3 years of post‐admission experience overall.
n
Solid work ethic, commitment to exceeding client expectations, and a desire to be part of a high‐performing team.
n
Attention to detail,



excellent analytical skills and a willingness to expand legal and commercial skills.
n
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast‐paced setting.
n
Availability to work in the office every day.
