An exciting opportunity is available for an accomplished Financial Controller to join a rapidly growing and evolving organisation.Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead the corporate finance function and ensure the integrity, timeliness and commercial value of financial information across the business.
You will oversee financial control, statutory and regulatory reporting, transactional accounting, payroll, treasury and balance sheet management.The FC will be expected to modernise the finance function, introduce greater automation and data-driven controls, and help the organisation make better and faster commercial decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the month-end close, general ledger and balance sheet reconciliation processesEnsure the accuracy, completeness and reliability of financial reportingPrepare insightful financial reporting for the Board, CEO and Executive TeamLead the annual budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow reporting processesManage statutory accounts, external audits and regulatory complianceOversee tax-effect accounting, tax lodgements and ASIC reportingLead the consolidation of multiple entitiesStrengthen internal controls, approval frameworks and segregation of dutiesOversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and collectionsReview and enhance treasury activities, including debt managementLead grant accounting, management and reportingSupport due diligence and M&A; activity when requiredDevelop reporting dashboards that clearly communicate business performance, risks and commercial trade-offsIntroduce automation,



AI-enabled tools and contemporary finance technologiesPartner with senior leaders to translate financial information into meaningful business insightsLead, develop and performance manage a multi-functional finance teamAbout YouThe ideal candidate will have commenced their career within a Big Four accounting firm, completed their CA qualification, and gained at least five years of commercial experience after leaving qualified practice.You will bring:Strong technical accounting, financial control and statutory reporting expertiseDemonstrated people leadership and team-development capabilityExperience improving finance systems, processes and internal controlsAn interest in automation, AI and technology-enabled finance transformationThe ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholdersA commercial mindset and the confidence to constructively challenge senior leadersThis is an opportunity to play a central role in shaping the future of a growing organisation's finance function.
