About the Opportunity
Our school seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of History and Aboriginal Studies to join our History Faculty. We are seeking a teacher who brings enthusiasm for History, a passion for engaging students in the exploration of past events and perspectives, and a commitment to nurturing academic growth. We value educators who can inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and meaningful connections between the past and the present, including fostering an understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, and perspectives.

This role is permanent full time commencing in Term 1, ****.
Key Responsibilities
Ability to teach History across all stages, with experience in Aboriginal Studies highly desirable.
Create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all students through varied teaching strategies and pedagogical practices.
Develop and maintain collegial relationships within and beyond the faculty.
Demonstrate a commitment to pastoral care and meeting the social and emotional wellbeing of young women.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience
A qualified secondary History teacher with a solid understanding of the syllabus requirements and current NESA accreditation.
Be confident in differentiating the curriculum in the classroom and committed to improving educational outcomes.
Outstanding planning and organising skills, with strong attention to detail.
All staff members at Loreto Normanhurst must participate in the Loreto Normanhurst Student Growth Model, which may mean being part of an Integrated Learning Team.
Ability to use ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement.
