Rosebank College has a proud and varied history of over 150 years as part of the Good Samaritan family established in ****, and belonging to the Benedictine spiritual and educational tradition founded by St Benedict in the 4th century. The College belongs to the community of ten schools across Australia called Good Samaritan Education (GSE). About the Role
A school of Good Samaritan Education,
Rosebank College, seeks expressions of interest for the position of Technology and Applied Studies (TAS) Teacher to join the TAS team in a full-time, permanent, ongoing (1.0 FTE) position.
The successful candidate will teach across all year levels, beginning in Term 1, ****, and will report to the TAS Coordinator.
The TAS Teacher will collaborate within the TAS department and across all year groups, undertaking team responsibilities as required by the Coordinator. The TAS department is highly successful and fosters a culture of continuous improvement committed to student-centered practice.
The College offers excellent support to all teachers, enabling them to develop on their professional journey through professional development. All staff are required to be involved in the pastoral care of our students, demonstrate a commitment to the ideals and ethos of Catholic Education, and be willing to participate in extracurricular programs.
Applicants for this position must be excellent classroom practitioners, dedicated team players, interested in the care and welfare of students, and have particular skills in teaching TAS to equip them to contribute to the College's educational program in teaching and learning. Applicants must also be skilled in using educational technology in the classroom. This position will allow a creative and passionate teacher and their students to flourish.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
extensive experience as a highly effective and innovative TAS teacher across Stages 4, 5 and 6;
the capacity to support curriculum continuity across Years 5–12, including collaboration with Stage 3 teachers following the introduction of Stage 3 in ****;
a minimum of two years' experience at Proficient Teacher accreditation;
demonstrated success in improving student engagement, achievement and learning outcomes;
the ability to support faculty initiatives that strengthen teaching practice,
curriculum innovation and continuous improvement;
strong collaborative, organisational and interpersonal skills;
the ability to use research, evidence and student learning data to inform teaching practice, curriculum development and faculty improvement;
a sound understanding of, and commitment to, the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers;
highly developed skills in integrating contemporary technologies into teaching and learning;
the capacity to coach, mentor and support colleagues through collaboration, professional dialogue and the sharing of exemplary practice;
excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills;
current NESA accreditation and approval to teach in NSW;
a current NSW Working with Children Check;
a demonstrated commitment to child safeguarding principles; and
a willingness to actively support the Catholic ethos, mission and learning culture of Rosebank College.
