Job Description
The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) is seeking an experienced and contemporary People & Culture leader to lead its internal workforce and culture across a high-performance environment.
As Chief of People & Culture, you will lead the organisation's people strategy, operations and culture, ensuring its people are supported to perform at their best and contribute to the success of Australian Olympic Teams.
Working closely with the CEO and Leadership Team, you will ensure the AOC's people are supported, engaged and equipped to perform at their best; both day-to-day and during Games environments.

About the AOC
The AOC is responsible for preparing, selecting and leading Australian Olympic Teams, while advancing the Olympic Movement nationally.
With Los Angeles **** and Brisbane **** ahead, the organisation continues to evolve its internal capability and culture to support sustained success.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the CEO, this role leads the AOC's People & Culture function and sits on the Leadership Team.
The position is primarily focused on internal workforce leadership, including workforce planning, employee lifecycle management, culture and performance.
The role also contributes to Olympic Team environments through workforce planning, wellbeing and advisory support, working closely with Team leadership during Games cycles.
Key Responsibilities
Lead People & Culture strategy and operations across the AOC workforce
Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, remuneration and employee engagement
Champion a positive,



high-performing and values-led culture
Lead employee lifecycle processes and workplace relations matters
Design and deliver learning and development initiatives
Support workforce planning and wellbeing initiatives for Australian Olympic Teams
Provide strategic workforce insights and advice to the Culture, Remuneration and Nominations Committee
Ensure strong governance across people policies, WHS, integrity and safeguarding
Lead and develop the People & Culture function
About You
You are a senior HR leader who balances strategic thinking with effective day-to-day delivery and builds credibility through strong stakeholder relationships.
You bring:
Senior HR leadership experience, with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
Solid capability across core HR functions including workforce planning, employee relations and culture
Experience working with executive teams and Boards or Board Committees
Ability to operate strategically and operationally in a lean, fast-paced, cyclical environment
Strong judgement, discretion and stakeholder management capability
Location
Sydney-based, with regular domestic travel and occasional international travel if required.
