Senior Cyber Security GRC Specialist | NV1 Clearance | Full time Onsite I Canberra
We are seeking an experiencedCyber Security GRC Specialistto support cyber security governance, risk and compliance activities within a major resilience uplift program.
The role will work closely with cyber security teams and stakeholders to strengthen security governance, assurance and documentation.
During electoral events, the successful candidate may also support election‐specific cyber security requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to solution design with a focus on cyber security considerations.
Review and provide recommendations on security requirements.
Support cyber security governance, risk and compliance activities.
Develop clear communications and documentation for senior executive decision‐making.
Coordinate security assurance activities, includingIRAP assessments and penetration testing.
Lead the development and maintenance of formal cyber security documentation.
Engage with stakeholders and clients to identify requirements and achieve agreed outcomes.
Support the delivery of cyber security resilience and assurance initiatives.
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong knowledge of theInformation Security Manual (ISM),Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)andEssential Eight.
Demonstrated experience working in aCyber Security GRCrole.




Proven ability to manage stakeholder and client relationships and achieve successful outcomes.
Demonstrated experience developingGRC policies, processes, reports and security documentation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate security matters to senior executives.
Current NV1 security clearance is mandatory.
Desirable
Minimum5 years' experiencein cyber security, GRC, security assurance or related roles.
Experience supporting government cyber security programs.
Experience withIRAP, penetration testing and security assuranceactivities.
Understanding of cyber resilience and risk management within complex environments.
We are looking for a cyber security qualified with strongGRC, assurance and stakeholder managementskills who can translate security requirements into practical outcomes and produce high‐quality documentation for technical and executive audiences.
