We're partnering with a well-established accounting firm in Brisbane CBD that is looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join its growing team.
This is a great chance to develop both your technical and client-facing skills within a supportive team, with the chance to take on more complex work and responsibility as you progress.
The Opportunity You’ll work across a broad range of tax and accounting matters while getting direct client exposure from early on, including the opportunity to conduct one-on-one client meetings and build relationships with your own clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing individual and sole trader income tax returns
Conducting client meetings and liaising directly with clients
Preparing and reviewing BAS and other tax compliance work
Assisting with financial statements and workpapers
Assisting with tax returns for trusts and companies
Identifying potential tax issues and opportunities
Taking on more complex work as your experience develops

About You To be successful, you'll ideally have:
6 months - 2 years' experience within Australian public practice accounting
A relevant Accounting degree, or currently completing your studies
Some experience preparing individual income tax returns
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good attention to detail and accuracy
A willingness to ask questions, take on feedback and continue learning
An interest in commencing CA studies in the future
