Opportunity available for an experienced Perioperative Manager to join a leading private hospital in Brisbane as the Perioperative Services Manager.
The position offers the opportunity to oversee a high-performing perioperative division, drive operational excellence, lead multidisciplinary teams, and influence the future direction of surgical services within a respected private healthcare organisation.

The Opportunity:
Reporting directly to the Director of Clinical Services, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the Perioperative Services Division, including:
Operating Theatres
Anaesthetics
Recovery/PACU
CSSD (where applicable)
Specialty Surgical Services
You will be responsible for driving clinical, operational and financial performance while fostering a culture of excellence, accountability and patient-centred care.
This role requires a visible and influential leader capable of balancing strategic objectives with operational delivery in a energetic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership
Lead and execute the strategic direction of perioperative services
Support the hospital's growth, surgical expansion and service development initiatives
Drive continuous improvement and innovation across perioperative services
People Leadership
Lead, mentor and develop a large multidisciplinary workforce
Build a high-performance culture focused on engagement and accountability
Support talent development, succession planning and workforce capability
Operational Management
Oversee theatre utilisation, efficiency and patient flow
Manage budgets, workforce planning and resource allocation
Ensure compliance with accreditation, quality and clinical governance standards
Clinical Excellence
Champion patient safety and quality outcomes
Promote evidence-based practice and continuous improvement
Drive key performance indicators across productivity, quality and patient experience

About You We are seeking an accomplished healthcare leader who brings:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Extensive perioperative leadership experience within a hospital setting
Experience managing large theatre departments and multidisciplinary teams
Strong financial, operational and workforce management capabilities
Demonstrated success driving service improvement and organisational performance
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Strategic thinking combined with hands-on leadership capability
Postgraduate qualifications in Health Management, Nursing Leadership, Business or a related field will be highly regarded.
