Administration and Business Support Coordinator

Our client WASH House is seeking an experienced business support professional to take the lead on the systems, processes and day-to-day operations that keep their growing organisation running effectively.
About the Prospect...
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, you'll take responsibility for coordinating and strengthening administration, business support and operational functions across WASH House locations.
This is a hands‐on leadership role for someone who can see both the detail and the bigger picture.
You'll oversee day‐to‐day administrative operations while also looking for opportunities to improve systems, introduce more consistent processes and strengthen the organisation's governance and compliance practices.
You'll work closely with the Executive Director and Leadership Team, while providing leadership, guidance and support to administration staff.
The role operates with a high degree of autonomy, so you'll be trusted to use your judgement, identify what needs attention and develop practical solutions.

What you'll need to succeed...
You'll be well suited to this position if you're an experienced administration or business support professional who enjoys bringing structure to a busy organisation, improving the way things work and helping others operate effectively.
You're someone who takes ownership, uses initiative and can confidently move between operational detail and broader organisational priorities.
You'll be comfortable working with senior leaders, supporting staff and managing multiple priorities without losing sight of accuracy, deadlines or follow-through.

Selection Criteria...
Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources or Finance
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a leadership, administration and business support role
Proven experience in supervising and supporting staff
Strong financial administration skills, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination and budget monitoring
Experience developing and improving business systems, processes and workflows
Experience in supporting governance functions, including Board administration
Demonstrated understanding of compliance, records management and organisational governance requirements
Highly developed organisational, planning and project coordination skills
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external suppliers and stakeholders
Ability to manage competing priorities, exercise initiative, and work to deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement
Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and business administration systems
Strong alignment with WASH House Vision and values and commitment to advancing organisational goals
Commitment to working within a feminist framework and understanding of social policy and issues that face women in Western Sydney
