Our client is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Consultant to join their manufacturing site on a 6-month contract basis. This is a hands‑on, site‑based role supporting a medium‑scale industrial operation. You will work closely with plant leadership, operations teams, and frontline staff to strengthen safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across all areas of the site.

This role suits a safety skilled who is comfortable working independently, engaging with employees at all levels, and delivering practical, risk‑based solutions in a quick‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct site safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections across manufacturing, warehousing, and yard operations, identifying hazards and recommending corrective actions
Support the development, review, and implementation of health and safety policies, procedures,



and secure work instructions in line with relevant legislation and standards
Investigate incidents, near‑misses, and hazards, preparing root cause analyses and corrective action plans
Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and inductions to employees, contractors, and visitors
Monitor compliance with WHS/OHS legislation and liaise with regulatory bodies as required
Partner with operations and engineering teams on machine guarding, ergonomics, and process safety for heavy equipment manufacturing
Track and report on safety KPIs, leading and lagging indicators, and prepare regular reports for site leadership
Support emergency preparedness planning, including drills and response procedures
Champion a positive safety culture, encouraging employee engagement and hazard reporting
