Electrical Procurement Specialist – Solar & BESS
Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
Pay range: A$125,******/yr – A$145,******/yr

As our Australian project portfolio grows, we are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer with solar and/or BESS experience to join our Procurement team.
This role will support the sourcing, procurement, and management of electrical materials, equipment, and subcontracted services across utility‐scale solar, HV/LV substations, and BESS projects, ensuring alignment with technical requirements, budgets, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Lead procurement of electrical equipment, materials, and subcontracted services for utility‐scale solar and BESS projects, ensuring compliance with project technical specifications.
Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, and Commercial teams to coordinate procurement activities and support project timelines.
Evaluate supplier proposals, assist in preparing RFQs, and provide technical input to purchasing decisions.
Monitor supplier performance, ensuring delivery, quality, and safety standards are met.
Support tendering and pre‐contract activities by providing electrical engineering expertise for procurement and supplier selection.
Contribute to long‐term supplier relationship management and sourcing strategies.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for procurement processes,



systems, and technical standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
3–5+ years' experience in electrical procurement within EPC, construction, or subcontractor environments.
Hands‐on experience supporting solar and/or BESS projects in Australia.
Strong knowledge of LV, MV, and HV electrical systems, substations, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and balance‐of‐system components.
Experience from tender through to project delivery, with a strong commercial and technical understanding of electrical packages.
Understanding of Australian energy standards, grid codes, and regulatory frameworks.
Strong negotiation, supplier management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, and procurement reporting tools.
