GEOTECHNICAL DRILLER

Geotechnical Driller role based in Sydney. Looking for a Geotech Driller who knows their way around a site investigation and takes pride in quality work. This is a permanent, residential role based out of Sydney.

n

Geotechnical drilling is technical, skilled work. You will collect data that engineers, geologists, and project managers rely on to make critical decisions.

Long‐term placement with an established Sydney geotech contractor

Exposure to diverse project types including infrastructure, civil, and environmental
n
Senior driller or supervisory progression for the right candidate
n

What you'll be doing

n

n
Operating drill rigs for geotechnical site investigations across Greater Sydney
n
SPT, thin‐wall sampling, rock coring, standpipe installation
n
Managing rig set‐up, pack‐down, daily maintenance
n
Collecting, labelling, logging soil and rock samples to specification
n
Completing field logs, pre‐starts, site safety documentation
n




Coordinating with site engineers and geologists on sampling requirements
n
Supervising offsiders where applicable
n

What you'll need

n

Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
n
Minimum 2 years' experience in geotechnical drilling
n
Manual MR Class Licence
n
Solid understanding of sampling techniques and field documentation
n
Safety‐first approach, ability to work autonomously on site
n
Able to pass a pre‐employment medical and Drug & Alcohol test
n

Highly regarded

n

Certificate II or III in Drilling Operations
n
Experience with auger, mud rotary, or sonic drilling
