About the role
We are seeking aPrincipal Hydrogeologist / Geochemistto join ourAustralianoperations,specificallyourteam in Queensland.
This is a senior technical and leadership role suited to an experienced professional (typically 15+ years' experience) who is motivated to take ownership of complex projects, lead multidisciplinary teams and support the continued growth of EHS Support in Queensland.
The role will focus primarily on projects within the oil and gas, contaminated sites and groundwater, and mining sectors, while also supporting major industrial and infrastructure clients across Queensland and interstate.
You will work closely with other Principals,seniorleadershipandour broader national team to deliver technicallyrobust,pragmaticanddefensible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
As a Principal Hydrogeologist / Geochemist, yourresponsibilitieswillinclude:




Technical Leadership
Providing senior technical oversight and direction on complex groundwater, geochemical and contaminated site projects.
Leading development of conceptual site models,fateand transport assessments, andrisk-basedevaluations.
Designing and reviewing groundwater monitoring programs, aquifer tests, numericalmodelsand geochemical investigations.
Providing expert input into remediation strategies, mine water management,wastecharacterisationandclosure planning.
Reviewing and authoringhigh-qualitytechnical reports suitable for regulators,auditors,clientsandlegal proceedings.
Project Delivery & Management
Acting as Project Director / Senior Project Manager on major assignments, with responsibility for scope,programme,budgetandtechnical quality.
Managing multidisciplinary project teams, including mentoring and technical guidance of junior andmidlevelstaff.
Engaging withregulators,clientsandstakeholders, providing clear,confidentand defensible technical advice.
Business Development & Strategy
Supporting growth of the Queensland groundwater and geochemistry capability through business development and client relationships.
Identifyingnew opportunities with existing clients and contributing to proposal preparation and strategic pursuits.




Working with national service line leaders to align Queensland projects with broader EHS Support capabilities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will typically have:
A tertiary qualification in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science or Engineering, with a postgraduate qualification highly regarded.
12+ years' relevant consulting or industry experience, including a strong background in groundwater, geochemistry,contaminatedsitesand/ormine water projects.
Demonstrated experience leading complex projects and providing senior technical oversight.
Strong knowledge of Queensland and Australian environmental regulations and approval processes.
Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly toclients,regulatorsandproject teams.
