About you:
We are seeking an experienced Web Development Team Lead to manage and mentor our frontend development team.
The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with exceptional leadership skills, demonstrating critical thinking, systematic problem-solving abilities, and the resilience to navigate complex technical challenges while maintaining team productivity and morale.
The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in ambiguity, can build structure from chaos, and maintains optimism while tackling challenging technical problems.
You should be equally comfortable diving into code reviews as you are facilitating team discussions or presenting to executives.
Most importantly, you should be passionate about developing others and creating an environment where developers can do their best work.
Day‐to‐day, you will:
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of frontend developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews,
and create individual development plans for team members to support growth, training, and career progression.
Ensure the team's well‐being, motivation, and engagement by fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions and encourage cross‐functional collaboration
Technical Oversight & Strategy
Provide technical guidance and code review for complex frontend implementations
Establish and maintain coding standards, best practices, and development workflows
Stay current with frontend technologies and evaluate new tools/frameworks for team adoption
Ensure technical solutions align with broader product and business objectives
Process Management & Delivery
Design and implement clear, efficient development processes that scale with team growth
Drive sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives using agile methodologies
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, decisions, and technical architecture
Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other departments to ensure clear communication and successful project execution
Identify bottlenecks and systematically remove obstacles blocking team progress
Stakeholder Management
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and realistic timelines
Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Manage expectations and negotiate scope/timeline adjustments when necessary
Provide regular status updates and elevate risks proactively
Build strong relationships with Product, Design, and Backend teams
Your skills and experiences might also include:
6+ years of frontend development experience with at least 2 years in a lead/senior role
Expert‐level proficiency in modernJavaScript/TypeScript,HTML5, CSS3
Strong understanding of responsive design, cross‐browser compatibility, and web performance optimization
Familiarity with backend technologies and API design principles
Experience with micro‐frontend architectures and module federation
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and SEO best practices
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization
Contributions to open‐source projects or technical blog writing
Experience with design systems and component library development
Familiarity with mobile development (React Native, Flutter) is a plus
