We are partnering with a high-growth fintech company to recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant for a part-time opportunity.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong focus on payroll compliance, and enjoys improving processes within a collaborative finance team.
Key Responsibilities
Handle end-to-end payroll processing and ensure compliance with current legislation
Stay up to date with changes in payroll legislation and awards, applying updates as needed
Assist in the preparation and lodgment of payroll tax obligations
Identify and implement process efficiencies across payroll and accounts
Process supplier invoices, prepare payment runs, and maintain accurate records
Assist with monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations and support BAS preparation and lodgment
Provide general support across the finance function as required
About You
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline
CA/CPA qualified or currently pursuing
Strong understanding of payroll processing, compliance, and payroll tax
A continuous improvement mindset and attention to detail
Excellent Communication Skills both verbal and written
