About the Role
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care across a range of hospital settings within Darling Downs Health.
You will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and patient-centred care within busy Emergency Departments, managing diverse patient presentations while supporting positive clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care across all patient acuity levels
Perform triage assessments in accordance with the Australasian Triage Scale (ATS)
Recognise and respond effectively to clinical deterioration and medical emergencies
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within a fast-paced ED environment
Administer medications and emergency interventions within scope of practice
Collaborate with medical officers,



allied health professionals, and multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Support patient flow, escalation processes, and safe discharge planning
Promote patient safety and quality standards within emergency services
Provide support across acute care areas where required

What you'll need
Current AHPRA Registration (Registered Nurse Division 1)
Minimum 1 year recent Emergency Department nursing experience
Current ALS (Advanced Life Support) certification
Demonstrated triage experience and competency using the Australasian Triage Scale
Ability to recognise and manage deteriorating patients in acute settings
Experience working effectively within multidisciplinary emergency teams
Australian working rights (non-sponsorship position due to contract timeframe)
