About the role
n
We have an exciting position available for a passionate and customer focused Weighbridge Operator to join our team in Clayton.
n
This customer facing role will enable you to develop invaluable skills in the day to day running of our operations. Hours of work are across a Monday to Friday roster, between the hours 6.45am and 4.00pm
n
Manage a computerised weighbridge and associated control of traffic
n
Monitor all vehicles entering and leaving site
n
Issue dockets and invoices
n
Cash handling and EFTPOS transactions
n
Oversee the entry of all sub-contractors on site (inductions, PPE etc.)
n
Communication via UHF two-way radio
n
General office, admin and operational support tasks
n
Answer phones and email enquiries
n
To be considered you must demonstrate:

Ability to work autonomously & problem solve

Be reliable, responsible and hard working
n
High attention to detail and can learn new skills quickly
n
Ability to prioritise and work in a rapid-paced, busy environment
n
Attributes & Experience
n
Weighbridge Operator experience (ideal)
n
Gatehouse experience in waste/recycling, quarry, construction or similar industry (ideal)
n
Knowledge of the waste/recycling industry (preferred)
n
