About the role

This is a flexible work-from-home position for an experienced garment alterations and repairs skilled. The work will include a wide variety of garment alterations and repairs.

Key responsibilities
Taking up trousers and pants
Replacing standard zips in pants and other garments
Replacing and fitting invisible zips in dresses and other garments
Shortening and altering lined jacket sleeves
Dress alterations, including taking in and letting out where possible
General garment alterations
Repairing holes, tears and damaged seams
Replacing and sewing on buttons
General mending and repairs

About you
Have solid experience in garment alterations and repairs
Be confident working with both standard and invisible zips
Be experienced with dresses, trousers, jackets and lined garments
Produce neat, skilled, high-quality work
Be comfortable working with a variety of fabrics and garment styles
Have your own suitable sewing equipment and workspace at home
Be reliable and complete work within agreed timeframes
Have positive attention to detail and take pride in your workmanship
