About the role

As Venue Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth and successful operation of the venue, with a strong focus on hospitality, customer service, team leadership and operational standards. This is a key leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, working with people, and creating a welcoming and professional experience for members, guests and visitors. You'll take ownership of venue operations while supporting and developing a strong hospitality team.

Key responsibilities
Leading, supporting and motivating the hospitality team
Overseeing daily bar, dining, function and venue operations
Delivering a consistently high standard of customer service
Recruiting, training, rostering and developing staff
Managing labour costs and assisting with budgets and financial performance
Maintaining stock levels, ordering and stock control
Coordinating functions, events and busy service periods
Ensuring compliance with RSA, food safety, workplace health and safety, and relevant licensing requirements
Maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness throughout the venue
Working closely with management and other departments to ensure seamless operations

About you




Previous experience in a Venue Manager, Hospitality Manager, Food & Beverage Manager or similar leadership role
Strong people-management and communication skills
Excellent customer service standards
Experience managing rosters, labour and operational costs
Sound knowledge of bar and food service operations
Experience with large functions and events
The ability to remain calm and make positive decisions in a busy environment
Current Approved Manager and relevant hospitality certifications
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and functions as required
