The candidate will need experience delivering the civil packages associated with onshore Wind projects.
May also be involved in the tendering and work winning elements in the future too.
Our client is a well-established and market leading national civil contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to report into a Project Manager and join their growing business on projects based in Gippsland and potentially other locations.
Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining, resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a challenging projects.
This role will reporting be working on the civil packages associated with onshore wind projects and you will be responsible for delivering civil Balance of Plant and may potentially also be involved in the tendering and work winning processes as well.
You will be supported by an existing team delivering packages from $70m up to $100m+.
The candidate needs to have experience in the subject matter being from a civil contractor background working on civil packages around new onshore wind projects.
Years of experience:
7 to 15 years +
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Planning and scheduling of construction activities
Management of site project teams
Quality Assurance, Cost and Time Management
Preparation of management reports
Resolving site issues in a timely manner
Liaising with key clients and stakeholders
Coordinating internal and external resources
Recruitment and mentoring of teams
Working on tenders
Qualifications and Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
7-15+ years' management experience with some experience on civil packages associated with onshore wind and maybe even battery (BESS) construction projects
Project management qualifications will be advantageous
Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
Proven ability to effectively lead and delegate
Effective problem-solving abilities
Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations
High level of organisation and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
