Job Description

J Group is seeking an experienced and reliable Civil Pipe Layer to join our growing team. We deliver major civil infrastructure projects across NSW and are looking for someone with a strong background in underground services, drainage and water infrastructure who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.

About the Role

n

n
Install stormwater, sewer, water and pressure pipelines in accordance with project specifications.
n
Lay PVC, HDPE, RCP and precast drainage systems.
n
Read and interpret construction drawings, service plans and set-out information.
n
Assist with trenching, excavation support, shoring and benching.
n
Install pits, manholes, headwalls, valves, hydrants and associated civil infrastructure.
n
Ensure pipelines are installed to the correct line and level.
n
Work closely with plant operators, supervisors and surveyors.
n
Maintain a protected, clean and productive worksite.
n

Essential Requirements

n

n
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Civil Pipe Layer.
n
Proven experience installing stormwater, sewer and water infrastructure.
n
Ability to read plans and work to line and level.
n
Current White Card.
n




Current Driver Licence (MR/HR licence highly regarded).
n
Robust understanding of safe excavation practices and underground services.
n
Excellent work ethic and commitment to quality and safety.
n

Desirable

n

n
Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets.
n
Excavator, skid steer or loader tickets.
n
Pipe laser experience.
n
Civil plant operating experience.
n
First Aid Certificate.
n
