What You Will Be Working On
You will advise employers and employees across contracts, policies, disciplinary matters, terminations, workplace investigations, disputes and workplace risk.
Your work will include:
Leading matters before the Fair Work Commission, Queensland Industrial Relations Commission and courts
Preparing advice, submissions, evidence and correspondence
Translating complex legal developments into clear, practical guidance
Building trusted client relationships
Supervising and developing junior lawyers
This is a hands‐on role where your work will directly influence client outcomes and the continued growth of the practice.
What Type of Person Will Be Successful
You are likely to be an employment lawyer seeking more autonomy, broader exposure and closer access to senior practitioners.
You will ideally bring:
Around 4-8 years' post-admission experience
Queensland admission and relevant practising eligibility
Employment law, workplace relations or transferable litigation experience
Strong drafting, research and matter management skills
Experience with advisory and contentious work
You will be commercially minded, collaborative and confident dealing with clients on sensitive or emotionally charged matters.
Employment Lawyers, Workplace Relations Lawyers, Industrial Relations Lawyers, Senior Lawyers and Senior Associates are encouraged to apply.
