An exceptional, senior trading operations position has become available working in direct support of a Trading team focussed on Equity Derivatives and ETF's.

This position would suit an experienced operations, trade support or middle office professional who has previous experience with a global investment bank, fund manager or trading firm and seeking to support a high-performing team of traders.
n
The ideal applicant would have at least 5 + years experience within a middle office style role covering either ETF's / equity derivatives /equities and have good corporate actions knowledge and expertise. Prior team leading, supervisory or management experience is also highly regarded.

Responsibilities:
n
n
Reconciliation of position, cash, and trade activity prior to Market open.
n
Ability to reconcile front office estimates to prime broker reporting.
n
Analysing Accruals including Capital & Interest charges, expenses, and commissions
n
Price Validation of Trader EOD close prices.
n
Liaise with external parties to resolve any position/cash discrepancies.
n
Contribute to system improvement to help streamline daily processes.
n
Support the business in its growth and expansion into new products and Markets.
n
Working with legal and compliance for onboarding new relationships
n
Support desk to effectively manage their Margin obligations.
n
Maintaining and managing operational processes as per regulatory framework
n
n
We are looking for high calibre people who possess the following competencies:
n
n
Around 5+ years previous experience in financial services industry and completion of finance/investment related course work a plus
n
Robust knowledge of equities/ ETFs/ equity derivatives and corporate actions
n
A person who excels in a rapid-moving environment, self-starter, and resourceful in solving problems
n
Have an in-depth knowledge of handling trade flow through to settlement
n
Knowledge/Experience of Asian Markets a preference
n
Ability to build solid and positive relationships both internally and with Broker contacts.
n
Strive for efficiencies and to challenge the status quo to drive changes.
n
Ability to prioritise based on materiality and risk considerations.
n
Analytical mindset when tackling issues.
n
Knowledge of SQL, VBA and Python would be highly regarded
