As a Geotechnical & Survey Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our client's growing business based in North Melbourne. In this independent position, you will work predominantly in the field conducting geotechnical investigations and surveys. High-quality geotechnical reports and survey plans for various projects.

Duties:

n

Conduct geotechnical fieldwork including drilling and sampling.
n
Perform soil logging and field testing.
n
Conduct site inspections to assess site conditions.
n




Operate and maintain geotechnical/survey equipment.
n
Provide onsite technical support to the office staff.
n
Prepare accurate geotechnical reports and survey plans.
n
Ensure compliance with safety and OHS regulations.
n
Collaborate with the team to improve operational efficiencies.
n

Skills and Experience:

n

n
Civil engineering, surveying, or geotechnical geology qualifications preferred.
n
Solid understanding of Melbourne soils and site classifications.
n
Basic surveying fieldwork experience is desirable.
n
Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
n
Excellent attention to detail to produce high-quality work.
n
White/Red Card holder with relevant OHS certification.
n
Australian driver's license to operate a manual vehicle.
n
Hands‐on experience operating field equipment and drilling rigs.
