As our Financial Control Manager, you will use your technical expertise and problem‐solving mindset to uplift processes, strengthen internal controls and contribute to Zip's journey toward SOX compliance.
You'll collaborate with teams across FP&A;, Treasury, Credit Risk, Group Finance, Product and our external auditors, playing a meaningful role in enhancing the quality, predictability and reliability of Zip's financial reporting.
What You'll Own
Contributing to the month end close process while uplifting and embedding strong financial controls
Supporting reporting processes and delivering timely, accurate information for internal and external stakeholders
Playing a key role in uplifting processes and controls to SOX standard, including process documentation, building RACMs and addressing control deficiencies
Embedding a strong risk management culture with high‐quality documentation and clarity of processes
Writing and reviewing technical accounting memos, with exposure to IFRS 9, 15 and 38
Collaborating with teams across the business to strengthen upstream controls and improve information flows into Finance
Owning elements of legal entity monitoring and contributing to statutory and Group audit processes
Supporting half‐year and full‐year reporting alongside the Group Financial Control team
Providing insight and input into budgeting, forecasting and business partnering activities




Supporting projects across the business, including new product initiatives and system implementations
Delivering ad‐hoc analysis and problem solving as required
What You'll Bring To The Team
7+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience within financial control or a Big 4 environment
CA or CPA qualification
Deep understanding of financial reporting standards, with experience in IFRS 9 and 15
A track record of uplifting processes and improving controls
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently across the business
Comfort operating in environments of ambiguity and change
A high attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset
A mindset that embraces AI and recent tools to adapt, learn and grow
An aptitude for identifying and managing risks.
