We are seeking a reliable and motivated Workshop Assistant to join our maintenance team on a large-scale almond orchard in Hattah, Victoria.

You will assist with the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a wide range of agricultural machinery, equipment, and infrastructure. This is an excellent prospect for someone looking to build their mechanical skills in almond operation.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with daily workshop operations.
n
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm machinery and almond equipment.
n
Assist with fabrication and basic welding tasks.
n
Keep the workshop clean, organised, and protected.
n
Help identify mechanical issues and support repairs.
n
Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop inventory.
n
Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
n

Skills & Experience
n
n
Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
n
Basic welding experience (MIG/Stick preferred).
n
Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
n
A willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
n
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
n
Ability to work independently when required.
n
A current driver's licence is preferred.
n
Experience with farm machinery is advantageous but not essential.
