Job Description
Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of primary school-aged children (5-12 years)? At EJ Kids' Care, we are more than just a Before and After School Care and Vacation Care service-we are a vibrant community dedicated to nurturing, inspiring, and supporting both children and staff.

We are managed by the wonderful Eagle Junction State School Parents and Citizens Association with a capacity of 270 places. EJ Kids' Care is a place where love, care, and professionalism come together! Here, you will have the opportunity to work closely with children, make a positive impact, and benefit from extensive training that includes LGBTQ+ competency, trauma-informed care, cultural awareness, and embedded inclusion and behaviour support.

Responsibilities
n
Collaborate: Work with the Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader to plan engaging, educational, and fun activities.
n
Document:
Support program documentation and observations to contribute to a high-quality educational experience.
n
Engage: Actively participate in activities with children, bringing your own enthusiasm to each interaction.
n
Safety First: Maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring the space is welcoming and secure.
n
Improve: Engage in Continuous Improvement processes and self-assessment against National Quality Standards.
n
Connect: Build and nurture positive, respectful relationships with children and families.
n
Skills and Experience
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
Initiative and problem-solving abilities to handle various situations with creativity.
n
Strong time management and organizational skills.
n
A collaborative spirit and a "can-do" attitude toward new challenges.
n
Qualifications & Requirements
n
Age Requirement: Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
n
Mandatory Training: Completion of the "Foundations of Child Safety Training" (or a commitment to complete this as a requirement of employment).
n
Blue Card: A current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
n
Education: Ideally studying or holding an ACECQA-approved Certificate, Diploma, or Degree.
n
Health & Safety: Senior First Aid, CPR, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain these).
n
Hours: Up to 25 hours per week on a rotating roster. Applicants must be available at least three afternoons per week.
n
Operating Times: Mon-Fri (7:00-8:45 am & 2:45-6:00 pm). Vacation Care (7:00 am-6:00 pm).
n
Salary: $***** to $***** per hour, with a 3% Above Award rate after successful completion of a 6-month period.
n
