We are partnering with a highly regarded, multidisciplinary and multi-office location engineering consultancy to appoint a Lead Civil Engineer to head up their civil capability within a growing and well-established practice.

This is a genuine leadership opportunity based in a Melbourne bayside office, supporting a
strongarchitectural
team andstructural engineering division, and delivering high-quality commercial and industrial developments for a loyal and repeat client base.

The Opportunity
n
You will lead and manage all civil works across commercial and industrial projects, taking ownership from concept through to completion. This is a hands-on leadership role within a small civil team, requiring both strategic oversight and technical delivery.
n
Project work will typically include:
n
n
Carpark design
n
Stormwater drainage design
n
Earthworks
n
Pavement design
n
Road design and associated civil infrastructure
n
n
This position would suit an experienced engineer looking to step into (or continue in) a lead role within a progressive, agile consultancy environment — without the red tape of a larger corporate structure.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead and manage civil design delivery for commercial and industrial projects
n




Oversee and sign off on completed civil engineering work
n
Prepare and review detailed designs using Civil 3D
n
Create, implement and manage CAD templates and standards
n
Undertake drafting work where required
n
Manage client relationships and key stakeholders
n
Coordinate closely with the structural engineering team
n
Mentor and guide junior team members
n

About You
n
n
Degree-qualified Civil Engineer
n
Strong experience delivering commercial and/or industrial developments
n
Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D
n
Ability to sign off on civil designs
n
Experienced in creating and managing CAD templates
n
Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
n
Comfortable working in a hands-on role within a small team environment
n
Commercially aware and client-focused
n
