Due to increased Exploration drilling, we are now seeking an additional Exploration Geologist to join our committed and passionate team at our Sunrise Dam Gold Mine.
Accountable to the Senior Exploration Geologist.
This role is offered on a lifestyle 8 days on/6 days off FIFO roster, with direct flights to our sites from Perth and/or Kalgoorlie.
Accountabilities




Maintaining a high standard of safety by complying with all relevant safety instructions, procedures and rules and the duty of care for employees as legislated
Building and maintaining constructive relationships with AGAA staff and contractors
Daily management of underground drill rigs, including data validation and data entry
Mentoring of the Graduate and Exploration Geologists
High quality geological logging of diamond drill core
Design, coordination and management of drill programs from Blue Sky to Resource Definition
Management of short-term drill schedule
Interpretation and reporting of geological and geochemical results
Geological and ore domain modelling
Monitoring performance to plan of targets
Weekly and monthly reporting
Process and procedure improvements and updates
Support the Exploration Team in the discovery of resources to meet annual depletion of resource/reserves
About You
People are at the heart of everything we do.

To be considered, we would like to see you have:
A relevant tertiary or postgraduate degree in Geology
Proven experience working within an underground gold mine operation or in an exploration role
Experience using 3D modelling software, with experience in Vulcan and Leapfrog highly regarded
Geological logging knowledge in diamond drill core and RC




Experience validating data and working with databases, such as Datashed
Knowledge of QAQC practices
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Leadership and mentorship skills
Permanent work rights in Australia
Current C class Manual Drivers License
The ability to obtain a new National Police Clearance
