About the Role:

n

We have prospects at our Eastern Creek branch for a Mobile Plant Mechanic known internally as a Service Technician (Field).

n

This field-based will see you working on a range of Vermeer Equipment and will entail general service and repairs to major overhauls and new machine assembly.

n

What You'll Be Doing

n

n
Diagnose, inspect, repair, and service heavy diesel equipment and machinery
n
Perform engine overhauls, hydraulic and electrical system repairs, and general maintenance tasks
n




Accurately document work completed, including parts used, time taken, and fluids consumed
n
Interpret and work from technical drawings and schematics
n
Maintain a clean and secure work environment, following all safety protocols and company procedures
n
Provide qualified and customer-focused service, identifying and communicating solutions
n
Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills
n
Deliver expert service and support to our customers and partners
n
Contribute to a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement
n

What We're Looking For

n

We're looking for someone who:

n

n
Mechanical Trade Certificate
n
Excellent organisational skills
n
Previous experience of engine overhauls and major repairs including electrical, hydraulic and diagnostic skills
n
A current and valid driver's licence
n
A mature attitude and logical and methodical approach to your work which will enable you to work through problems in both a workshop and field environment.
n
Possession of high-risk work tickets and/or licenses would be highly regarded
n
HR License highly regarded
