Summary of Position
n
As the Production Planner and Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and on-time execution of the production plan by coordinating daily scheduling activities and leading the production team. You will lead and manage the production team of approximately 8 production operators and be responsible for ensuring a high performing and efficient team. The production team works from 6am to 2pm and this role will work these hours to align with the production team operations. This is a full time, permanent, onsite role at our offices in Mulgrave, VIC.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling
n
n
Develop and maintain production schedules.
n
Sequence work to optimise efficiency and meet delivery deadlines.
n
Adjust plans to respond to breakdowns, material shortages, changing priorities.
n
Create documentation of production plans and processes.
n
Provide day-to-day direction, support, and supervision to production operators.
n
Allocate labour effectively across shifts to meet production requirements.
n
Manage attendance and performance.
n




Coach and develop team members to build capability and flexibility.
n

Safety & Compliance
n
n
Ensure production activities are in line with safety policies and procedures.
n
Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example.
n
Identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
n
n
Output, Quality & Performance Management
n
n
Monitor production performance against plan (output, efficiency, and downtime)
n
Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
n
Investigate and address deviations from plan, implementing corrective actions.
n
n
Resource & Capacity Optimisation
n
n
Ensure effective utilisation of labour, equipment, and materials.
n
Identify constraints and proactively plan to mitigate risks to production.
n
n
Skills & Qualifications
n
n
5 years+ in manufacturing in planning roles which may include inventory controller, demand planner or production coordination.
n
Experience managing production teams in a professional environment.
n
5+ years in people management.
n
Experience in ERP systems.
n
Experience with forecasting and scheduling.
n
Strong organisational and analytical skills.
