The Role:
n
We are seeking experienced Commissioning Plant Operators to join a high-performing team supporting the commissioning and start-up of a major gas-fired power station. This is a hands-on role requiring strong operational awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic commissioning setting.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Support commissioning and start-up activities across Balance of Plant systems
n
Operate and monitor power station equipment from control panels and in the field
n
Implement LOTO and Permit to Work procedures
n
Assist with bringing generators online/offline, load sharing, and synchronization
n
Start and operate pumps, turbines, switchgear,
transmission/distribution
circuits,



and auxiliary systems
n
Conduct inspections, monitor alarms, and respond to abnormal system conditions
n
Assist in fault finding, diagnostics, and commissioning test activities
n
Record and report operational data, test results, and system performance
n
Identify and report equipment malfunctions or control issues
n
Follow commissioning procedures, safety protocols, and site requirements
n
n
Roster & Travel:

2:2 FIFO roster
n
Flights provided
n
Accommodation provided while on site
n
DIDO available for candidates located within commuting distance
n
n
Qualifications & Experience:
n
n
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Trade Qualification
(Fitter/Boilermaker)
n
Turbine Operator Ticket (highly regarded)
n
Experience in commissioning and/or gas-fired power generation preferred
n
Strong understanding of plant operations, control systems, and safety processes
n
Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving commissioning environment
