Canex has an opportunity for 10 Full time Kitchenhand/Cooks to work in Rockhampton and surrounding regions, Queensland.

n

The roles can vary and you could be tasked with:

n
Assist chefs with basic food preparation
n
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
n
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and food prep areas
n
Dispose of rubbish and recycling appropriately
n
Follow food safety and hygiene standards
n
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
n
Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
n

For this exciting role you must have a positive level of physical fitness, as you are often on your feet and active for the majority of your shift.

Pay & Hours

n

You will be required to work an average of 38 hours per week. The term of work will be from June 2026 to June 2027.

n
You will be paid either under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award [MA000009], the Amusement,



Events and Recreation Award [MA000080], General Retail Industry Award [MA000004] or the Restaurant Industry Award [MA000119]
n
The work will range in pay from an ordinary rate of Introductory, Levels 1 to Levels 3 $26.44/hr up to $29+/hr
n
Working hours will vary from anywhere from 6am to 11pm, 7 days per week.
n
Overtime rates will be paid where applicable
n
Upskilling & additional allowances may also be paid if you were trained in extra tasks.
n
