Special Counsel – Construction Litigation (Back-End)

An opportunity has become available for an experienced construction litigation lawyer to join a well-established national firm with one of Brisbane's strongest insurance and construction practices.

n

This role is suited to a Senior Associate ready to step into a Special Counsel position, or an existing Special Counsel looking for a long-term home with a genuine pathway to Partnership.

n

The Role

n

You will work on a broad range of back-end construction matters, including:

n

n
Construction and infrastructure disputes
n
Security of payment claims
n
Defective works and contract disputes
n
Skilled indemnity matters involving construction professionals
n
Large-scale litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution
n
Direct client contact and strategic file management
n

n





You will work closely with recognised leaders in the market while enjoying a high level of autonomy and responsibility.

About You

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
7+ years' PAE in construction litigation
n
Strong experience managing complex disputes from commencement through to resolution
n
Excellent drafting, advocacy and client relationship skills
n
A commercial and practical approach to problem solving
n
The ambition to continue building your profile and progress your career
