About the role
Bunge is seeking a Logistics Planner to join our team in a critical role supporting the planning and execution of transport movements across South Australia.
In this position, you will oversee end‐to‐end logistics planning and execution for road and rail transport, ensuring efficient grain accumulation to port terminals.
You'll play a key role in aligning supply chain operations with vessel schedules, driving continuous improvements, and maximising supply chain value and financial returns.
This is a fast‐paced and highly collaborative role requiring strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate complex logistics activities while maintaining high levels of service and compliance.
Duties
Develop and manage logistics plans for bulk vessel accumulation, container programs and pre‐accumulation activities
Coordinate road and rail transport movements for port operations, vessel discharge and intrasite transfers
Monitor execution against plans, identify variances and implement corrective actions
Liaise with internal teams, service providers and customers to ensure alignment with shipping schedules and strategies
Supervise and support Freight Coordinators to ensure effective resolution of supply chain issues
Review site assembly and transport plans for export cargoes and third‐party operations
Ensure accurate system data, inventory integrity and timely completion of transactions
Maintain strong customer relationships to optimise supply chain outcomes and commercial returns
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and identify cost savings opportunities
Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility, safety and legislative requirements
Assist with planning activities across other South Australian port terminals as required
About you
Demonstrated experience in logistics, supply chain planning or transport coordination (3–5 years preferred)
Solid understanding of road and/or rail transport operations and compliance requirements
Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills with the ability to make practical, data‐driven decisions
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including carriers, service providers and internal teams
Well‐developed communication and negotiation skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
Understanding of pricing principles and financial impacts within supply chain operations
Relevant qualification in Logistics and Transport or equivalent (desirable)
A team player who thrives in a cooperative environment
