This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer who enjoys the detail of end-to-end payroll, knows their way around manual calculations and wants to join a business offering stability, strong processes and a supportive team environment.

With a large and diverse workforce, payroll is an important part of the business and you'll be joining an experienced team with established processes, strong internal relationships and plenty of payroll knowledge around you.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Payroll Officer, you'll be part of a broader payroll team responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll across multiple businesses.
This is a hands‐on end‐to‐day position where you'll manage the day‐to‐day detail of payroll while working closely with employees, managers and the wider finance team.
Your responsibilities will include:
End-to-end payroll processing, including employee and superannuation payments
Setting up new employees and ensuring onboarding, award and payroll information is accurate
Calculating terminations, entitlements, back pays and salary adjustments




Reviewing award rates and ensuring payroll compliance
Managing superannuation requirements and associated reviews
Maintaining accurate employee and payroll records
Responding to payroll queries from employees and internal stakeholders
Completing end‐of‐cycle and month‐end payroll reporting
Identifying payroll issues and helping find practical solutions and process improvements
The Candidate
You're an experienced Payroll Officer who knows payroll beyond simply pushing the button.
You'll be comfortable working with volume, confident completing manual calculations and have the attention to detail needed to make sure people are paid correctly and on time.
Ideally, you'll bring:
Solid experience within payroll end‐to‐end payroll
Confidence with manual payroll calculations
Valuable working knowledge of awards and Australian payroll legislation
Strong Excel and general systems capability
Micropay experience essential
Excellent attention to detail and problem‐solving skills
A proactive, practical and team‐focused approach
Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with internal stakeholders
