Senior Broker – Leadership Opportunity | Brisbane
Lead a high-performing team while managing a premium commercial portfolio
Drive client outcomes and team development within a national network
Full-time permanent role | Flexible working, $150,000 + super
A leading national insurance brokerage is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Account Manager to step into a strategic leadership-focused role in its Brisbane office.
In this role, you'll oversee a portfolio of high-value clients while mentoring a team of 6 professionals across varying levels of experience.
This prospect is ideal for a senior insurance professional ready to progress into a leadership position or build further on their current people management experience.
What You'll Be Doing
Manage a key portfolio of mid-market commercial client
Build strong, enduring relationships with clients in the $******M turnover range
Provide strategic broking advice and deliver exceptional service outcomes
Coach, mentor, and engage a team including junior and senior broking staff
Identify opportunities for portfolio growth, client retention, and team development
Work closely with national leadership to align with business goals
Participate in business development and contribute to branch strategy
Lead by example in client meetings, internal training, and process improvement
Contribute actively to branch and sales meetings and embrace continuous learning
About You You're currently a Senior Account Executive Account Manager with deep technical knowledge and a genuine interest in leadership.
You may already be managing a small team or be ready to take that next step.
Broad experience in commercial insurance broking, across mid-market clients
Strong understanding of diverse industry sectors and insurance solutions
Demonstrated capability in mentoring or team leadership (formal or informal)
Tier 1 qualified (essential),



with excellent stakeholder and client skills
Commercially minded with a focus on growth and retention outcomes
Highly organised and proactive, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Able to commit to 3 days in-office per week as part of a hybrid working model
