The Head of Middle School provides visionary leadership for students in Years 5-9, fostering a culture of kindness, care, respect,integrity,inclusionandexcellence.
The roleis responsible forthe strategic leadership of teaching,learning,wellbeingandpastoral care across the Middle School, ensuring students thriveacademically,sociallyandemotionally within a child-safe environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and develop a positive Middle School culture that reflects the values of kindness, care, respect,integrity,inclusionandexcellence.
Provide strategic direction and oversight of the Middle Schoolcurriculum,programsandstudent experience.
Mentor, coach and support teaching staff to ensurehigh qualityteaching and learning practices.
Work collaboratively with school leaders to ensure a cohesive educational journey across theSchool.
Build strong and positive relationships withstudents,parentsandthe wider school community.
Support student wellbeing, pastoralcareand restorative practices that strengthen relationships and engagement.
Lead school improvement initiatives and contribute to strategic planning and future growth of theSchool.
Promote innovative and contemporary teaching approaches that caterfordiverse learning needs.




Contribute to the co-curricular life of theSchool.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
Demonstrated excellence in teaching and learning across Years 5-9.
Proven success in a senior leadership role.
Robust understanding of curriculum leadership,studentwellbeingandpastoral care.
Excellentcommunication,collaborationandteam development skills.
Experience building positive school culture and community engagement.
Up-to-date knowledge of contemporary educational theory and practice.
