THE ROLE
Our client, a large Queensland Government department, is seeking an experiencedData Analyst / Business Analystfor a 6-month contract with strong potential for extension.
You'll be embedded in a high-priority program of work focused on migrating multiple frontline systems into a new enterprise CRM platform.
Working closely with program leads, technical BAs, SMEs, and data teams, you'll ensure data is understood, cleansed, documented, and migration-ready.
This is a hybrid role — 3 days in the CBD office, 2 days working from home after an initial settling-in period.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Conducting comprehensive data quality assessments across identified source systems to establish data integrity baselines and flag areas of risk
Developing a structured data cleansing strategy and implementation plan to remediate quality issues ahead of migration
Establishing functional data definitions, selection criteria, and migration scope for identified data assets




Mapping source system fields to CRM target fields and validating migrated data for accuracy and completeness
Engaging and consulting with diverse stakeholder groups
Supporting business analysis activities including requirements gathering and process documentation
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Proven experience working with large enterprise systems, CMS, and CRM platforms
Solid capability in data analysis, data mapping, and integration concepts
Demonstrated experience in data cleansing and data quality improvement
Solid background in a Business Analyst role, including requirements gathering and process documentation
Confident stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to facilitate workshops across varied groups
Experience with Power BI and other reporting tools
Clear communication skills — able to translate complex technical data concepts into plain business language
NICE TO HAVE
Previous experience in Queensland Government or public sector environments
