We're looking for an experiencedTechnical Lead - Data Engineeringto join a major enterprise data transformation and lead the technical delivery of two strategic data initiatives.
This is ahands-on Technical Lead rolefor someone who enjoys staying close to the technology while taking ownership of solution design, technical direction and engineering delivery.
You'll work across a modernAWS and Databricks environment, partnering with architects, engineers and business stakeholders to turn requirements into scalable, production-ready data solutions.
Responsibilities
Lead the technical design and delivery of enterprise data engineering solutions.
Translate business requirements into detailed technical designs andLow-Level Designs (LLDs).
Design scalable and secure data solutions usingDatabricks and AWS.
Remain hands-on across development, implementation and code reviews.
Design and deliver modern data pipelines andETL/ELT solutions.
Provide technical direction and mentoring to Data Engineers.
Work closely with architecture, business and delivery stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.




Ensure solutions meet enterprise architecture, security and data governance standards.
Support testing, deployment and production implementation.
Requirements
Solid experience as aTechnical Lead, Lead Data Engineerwithin complex enterprise environments.
Deep hands-onDatabricksexperience is essential.
Experience with some of the following Databricks capabilities -must have at least 2 to 3 things:Databricks Genie
Semantic modelling
Managed MCP Servers
Vector Stores / Vector Search indexes
Lakebase
Strong AWS data engineering experience, ideally acrossS3, Glue, Lambda, EMRor related services.
Robust development skills acrossPython, SQL and/or Spark.
Proven experience designing modern data platforms, pipelines and scalable data architectures.
Experience producing detailedLLDs and technical specifications.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
